With the beginning of a new academic year come new industry visits
With the beginning of a new academic year come new industry visits by the IEEE/ICTM Student Branch. The next one is approaching as it will be at Cisco (Diegem) on Friday the 21st of October, 2016, in the afternoon (details to be fixed later, but we target a 13:00-17:00 slot).
What is Cisco?
Wikipedia tells us: "Cisco Systems, Inc. is an American multinational corporation technology company headquartered in San Jose, California, that designs, manufactures and sells networking equipment worldwide. It is the largest networking company in the world." And wikipedia is right. We are pretty sure that plenty of you have/had a Cisco router or switch at the office or at home.
About this visit:
Cisco's unit in Diegem is composed of both an R&D team and an IT service team for designing and deploying products to the clients.
The program so far is as follows:
The number of places is limited (+- 20 people), and we'd like to target a public which is familiar with routing/switching and telecommunication technologies, so that you may fully benefit from the interactions there. The transportation organisation and funding will be assumed by us. Please note as well that the visit will be held in English.
